The children study four different topics throughout the year.  We begin the year studying Plant Growth and Development.  The children plant Brassica Fast seeds, and observe the growth cycle of their plants. Next, the children learn about the Human Body.  They construct different structures of the body and discover how these parts of the body function. The third quarter unit is Rocks and Minerals.  The children are working towards identifying many different rocks and minerals.  They test each one, and record their observations. Lastly, we become Chemists.  The children work with five "mystery" powders, and conduct experiments to determine the name of each powder.
