Ms Hilchey is the eldest of five children; she grew up in Thomaston graduating from Georges Valley High School. After pursuing a career in interior design in Massachusetts and California, she returned to Maine to follow her true passion of working with children.  She holds a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in human development from the University of Maine, Orono. She enjoys teaching first grade where she can help foster a love of learning with her students.
