Greetings!!!
So, I say I am from Texas.  I don't have a southern accent because I was born in Illinois, but can pour one on real quick if I need to in a pinch.  I went to St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas to play volleyball and realized that there was a great deal to see in our small world after studying sociology. During college I worked in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park for one summer and Montana's Glacier National Park for two summers.  There was more to see so I decided to study abroad in Finland for my final college semester.  I went to Tampere, Finland where I endured the winter months from January to May and since moving to Maine I've found that they are both very similar in people, lifestyles and geography. We all love the summer months immensely and can persevere through any blustery winter storm while having fun!
After college I backpacked in Europe for nine weeks and then moved to New York where I interned in a classroom and on a farm doing animal-assisted therapy. After my internship I moved to Maine. Yeah!! I've been here since 1998 and love it!
Chuck Nguyen, the "Asian Cajun" is my hubby and we have a black lab named Reef who likes to play catch and hang out with us on our porch.  We are fixing up our house in Warren and renovating our barn into a martial arts studio where in the next few years we hope to hold classes in yoga, feng shui, tai chi, grappling, kerobics, kung-fu and other eastern martial art forms.
I have two sisters, one younger and older and am the proud aunt of my new niece born in June 2004.  Unfortunately, because we live in Maine I am far away from the rest of my family. We are spread out across the country, but we do get to see each other quite a bit, thanks to airline travel.
