Paper Size
Question
We are dong a project in Social Studies and we wanted to create a newspaper. How do you set up a document where it would print on paper the size of a regular newspaper?
Thank you.
Answer
You would go to the software's Page Setup, then choose the size of paper you wish to use.
Choosing a Paper Size
For example, In Word, you would go to File/Page Setup

Click on the button to the right of "Paper Size", then choose the size you need from the list.

Creating a Paper Size
In Word, if the size you need is not there, click on Manage Custom Sizes and add the size you need. Of course, if the paper size you are adding is not supported by your printer, it will not work properly. In the image above, I created a custom size that would work with the time card.
Click the "+" button, then you can click "Untitled" to type a name for your custom size. You can then press tab to go to the size fields to enter that information. Under "Printer Margins", you can select your printer for the margins to be set automatically, or you can tab to (or click on) the margin fields to type in your own margins. Keep in mind that if you type a margin that is narrower than your printer supports, text will be cut off.
